Biography

Dr Bharat Singh Patel has a Master’s Degree in Engineering in the field of Industrial Management from Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi. His under graduate degree is in the field of Aeronautical Engineering. He obtained his PhD from the BHU as well. He is keenly interested in agile systems and agility in industry, with in-depth focus on supply chains. 

He was an outstanding student, bagging the 17th rank nationwide in GATE-2010 in the discipline of Engineering Sciences (XE), and was among the all-India toppers in Engineering Thermodynamics and Engineering Drawing & Design in B.E.

Dr. Bharat Singh Patel is a prolific researcher and writer and has published 5 Scopus indexed journals (including 1 ABDC ‘B’ Category, 1 ABDC ‘C’ category journals. The latest one was “Designing of an agility control system: a case of an Indian manufacturing organization”. This was published in 2020 in the Journal of Modelling in Management, 15(4), 1591-1612 in collaboration with two others. He won the Runner-up award for Best Paper at the International Conference on Agile Manufacturing (ICAM)-2012, conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT (BHU), Varanasi, India. He has been invited to present his papers in numerous conferences all over the country. Dr. Patel is a Life Time Associate Member of the Aeronautical Society of India (AMAeSI), New Delhi, India. His expertise in teaching lies in the areas of Project Management, Operations Management, and Total Quality Management.
