    Biography

    He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. His dissertation focused on inferring conceptual graphs and relationship from large unstructured datasets. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Access, Public Health, Expert Systems, and International Journal of Information Management Data Insights. Additionally, he has presented his work at various international conferences and published books, and as chapters in edited books. He has also obtained his postdoctoral fellowship from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, Canada. He is a recipient of Responsible Computing Research Grant from Mozilla Foundation and United States Agency for International Development.

    His research interests are in Information Systems and Analytics, particularly in the application of Natural Language Processing and Text Mining techniques applied to interdisciplinary areas such as Healthcare, Social Networks, and Climate Change.

        Sudarshan Srinivasan brings nearly three decades of extensive experience across various management disciplines, with a specialized focus on Marketing Communication and Corporate Training. His career began in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, where he worked with renowned agencies such as Spectra, Pressman, Mudra (DDBMudra group), and Sampark (Ketchum). This foundation equipped him with deep expertise in Content Writing, Media Relations, Communications Strategy, and Marketing.

        Over the years, Sudarshan expanded his expertise into Stakeholder Management, developing a strong acumen in the ESG domain. He is also highly experienced in the field of Branding—both online and offline—a unique approach he refers to as Fusion Branding.

        In 1999, Sudarshan founded Prognosys Perception Management, which evolved into Prognosys Marcom Services Pvt. Ltd. in 2011. Through this venture, he has consulted for leading clients, offering his expertise in Communication and Marketing, and collaborating with top consultancies on various projects. As a seasoned Corporate Trainer, Sudarshan has leveraged his industry experience to develop and deliver impactful training programs across diverse sectors. Additionally, his involvement as a Board Member and Academic Advisor with leading B-Schools and Communication Institutes has provided valuable insights into the Industry-Institution-Interface, enabling him to contribute to shaping relevant and forward-thinking curricula.

        Biography

        Dr. Wajahat has several years of consulting, research and teaching experience. Previously, he has served as a Senior Consultant with the Deloitte Middle East. As a Subject Matter Expert, he led industry and research projects mainly focusing on financial institutions. Prior to joining Deloitte, he was attached as a Research Fellow with INCEIF (institution established by Central Bank of Malaysia). During his stay at INCEIF, he handled consulting/research/capacity building projects related to public/private sector. He has also served as a Visiting Faculty in business schools and taught courses such as Corporate Finance, Sustainable Finance, Islamic Finance, Capital Markets, Quantitative Methods etc. He was also attached as an Adjunct faculty with the Taylor’s Business School (Taylor’s University – Malaysia).

        His main area of research is banking and finance, Islamic finance, sustainable finance etc. His work has appeared in several reputed journals such as Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, Economic Modelling, Accounting and Finance, International Review of Economics & Finance, Global Finance Journal, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal etc.

        Professor Khong is currently the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law in Taylor’s University. He was the Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He has published in many journal publications notably in Information and Management, Journal of Services Marketing, Expert Systems with Applications, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Industrial Management and Data Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Business Ethics and Business Strategy and the Environment; all of which are notable impact journals. He has worked in many research grants in excess of a million ringgit (70% of which are external grants) which relate to business analytics.         Prof. Gnanaharan S is an economist by education and training. Post graduating in Economics from Madras University (R K Mission Vivekananda College, Chennai) in 1976 with specialization in Labour Economics and Industrial Economics started his career at the Corporate Advisory Services Division of the Murugappa Group. After a decade long service there, he switched to Besant Raj Consultants, Mudra Communications in Ahmadabad/Mumbai, RK Swamy BBDO Advertising, and to Sterling Holiday Services Ltd both at Chennai. All through worked as a Market Researcher, Business Analyst, and Management Consultant finally heading the Corporate Advisory Services Division. Associated with Mindscan, a specialist firm in Qualitative Research and Francis Kanoi, a syndicated market research outfit both based at Chennai.

        During the long corporate career he was actively involved in the strategic planning process of a business conglomerate and helped the vice-president as an executive assistant. For a decade, he worked with the Group Economist assisting and undertaking economic and industry studies and writing notes and reports for the top management. Gnanaharan carried out a range of MR and consultancy assignments covering consumer and industrial products as well as services.

        After 25 years and by 2000 got into academics first teaching at Department of Entrepreneurship Studies of MKU, then Thiagarajar School of Management and finally at Jansons School of Business in Coimbatore. Taught Economics, Entrepreneurship, Business Environment, Strategic Management, Rural Marketing (Elective) and Research Methods. Drawing inspiration from the study undertaken by Prof. Srikant Datar of HBS et al, designed and taught a course called ‘Dimensions of Management’ focusing on the Being, Doing, and Knowing aspects.

        While trying to become a full-time academician in 2000s, became a certified Cluster Development Agent (CDA) through a six-month long programme sponsored and conducted by UNIDO and EDI through TREC-STEP, Trichy. Also, undertook two successful cluster diagnosis exercises. Other assignments handled during this period in training and research was for both national and international agencies like USAID, CIDA, UNTACD, UNIDO, and ILO.

        During the past two decades of full-time MBA teaching, wrote and published about a dozen articles and cases in all-India magazines and online websites. After retiring from full-time teaching and relocating to Madurai in 2019, Gnanaharan has been teaching at Thiagarajar School of Management as a Visiting Professor. He taught a couple of courses in Economics for two batches and Strategic Management for another two other batches. Also designed and delivered a Value Added Course (VAC) in the area of Behavioural Economics and in the name and style of ‘Good, Bad, and Biased Behaviour’ (GBBB).

        A former CEO and Managing Director, with 3 major revamping accomplishments in Manufacturing, Projects and Supply Chain environment, which were based on punctilious and pragmatic application of Scientific Principles and Technologies in the respective areas, which include Theory Of Constraints, LEAN Management, 3 ERP Systems, and a widely used Project Management System.

        He also specializes in selectively building customized curriculum for Corporates in the Supply Chain Arena, and rendering the corresponding in-house training as the sole instructor, epitomizing a career that had significant emphasis in the Supply Chain Arena, where he held the position of Executive Director with about a $200 Million Spend Budget, and negotiated and procured Machinery, Raw Materials and MRO items from across the globe, besides managing Warehousing, Inventory Management and Distribution of materials and products in different phases.

        A prolific APICS certified Trainer and a Management Consultant, Prof Sekhar Venkatachalam is a Supply Chain Management specialist, having focused in training students in the subject for several years. His list of qualifications is long and impressive, and include several US certifications, Six Sigma black belt, and numerous fellowships in India and abroad. He had an illustrious corporate career, heading reputed companies in India and Sri Lanka, and serving as an advisor to a UAE based company after his retirement.
