She has nearly two decades of experience in educating students on Business Communication, Marketing and Strategy, . She has rendered yeoman service to the Institute in numerous administrative roles, and took charge as the Principal in 2015. Her vision and commitment to the students and the institute has helped take TSM to scale new heights. As a corporate trainer, she has helped executives from numerous top companies in India, to achieve their true potential. Airtel India Ltd, Ramco Cements, , , TVS Tyres, Honeywell Technology Solutions, SPIC, Hi Tech Arai etc. are some of the companies who have benefited from her expertise.
Prof. Selvalakshmi has several research publications to her credit, on subjects ranging from customer service to student skills, inclusive growth and a whole lot more. Her latest publication was in the International Journal of Innovation Science on Pedagogy Innovation in , January 2021.
She has attended several International workshops and conferences as a speaker, and was invited to present papers as well. She has organized workshops for the teachers and corporate executives in contemporary areas. She also has excellent industry connect; Prof. Selvalakshmi has served as a consultant for Madurai based MSMEs, Smaart Home Furnitures and Arumugam Medicals on a study on Market Potential. It is a matter of pride for TSM that Prof. Selvalakshmi has served as a representative of the Madurai Kamaraj University in the Board of Studies of V.H.N.S.N College, Virudhunagar and SVN College, Madurai.
