The AI Skill Development Workshop, exclusively for women, was a landmark initiative hosted by TSOM in collaboration with Startup TN and Google Developers, attracting 2,055 participants from over 2,500 registrations, most with no prior coding experience. Participants received hands-on training on Firebase Studio, Gemini CLI, and Code Assist, guided by 120 student trainers under meticulous planning by TSOM IA, volunteers, and faculty. The event was supported by a control room for real-time coordination, received virtual greetings from Mr. Sivarajah Ramanathan (MD & CEO, Startup TN), and earned praise from Google Developers for hosting a large-scale event in a Tier II city. Post-event, participants will continue developing apps over six months, with TSOM IA tracking progress, and certificates were awarded at Startup TN Madurai. Documentation, media coverage, and a participant database of over 2,500 women will support future outreach, reflecting the collaborative effort of volunteers, trainers, TSOM departments, Startup TN, and Google Developers.
