Biography

Dr. Nachiketas teaches Research Methods, Advanced Marketing Analytics, and Marketing Management core courses at TSM. His research interests are in the domain of consumer behavior, marketing & public policy, and marketing communications.

Dr. Nachiketas has a diverse experience from academia and the industry. He has a background in Business Management and holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Visva Mahavidyalaya. He has worked in the industry for 2 firms, Kotak Mahindra and GfK. In his most recent role at GfK as a Marketing Scientist, he has consulted and executed market research projects for renowned firms such as Hitachi, OPPO, SBC Bank, HP, Didi Ride-hailing services, ING Bank among others in the Asia-Pacific and Middle Eastern regions.

Prior to GfK, he served as a Senior Lecturer in the Marketing Dept. at Great Lakes Institute of Management in Chennai for 7 years. He has also been an understudy for several reputed Marketing educators while at Great Lakes Institute of Management and thus had the opportunity to observe closely the best practices in academia, namely teaching and research. He continues to engage in the twin passions – teaching/research, and, engaging with the industry- enjoying the best of both worlds.
